ASUS Vivobook S16 S3607QA-SH050W

The ASUS Vivobook S16 S3607QA is a slim, powerful 16-inch laptop that particularly impresses with its exceptional battery life, high-quality OLED display and AI capabilities – all at a very attractive weight of just 1.74 kg and a thickness of 15.9 mm.

At its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor (X1-26-100) with 8 cores and up to 2.97 GHz – an ARM-based chip designed for maximum efficiency. It uses significantly less power than comparable Intel or AMD processors, barely gets warm and runs almost silently. The integrated Qualcomm Hexagon NPU with 45 TOPS makes the Vivobook S16 a fully fledged Copilot+ PC – with hardware-accelerated AI features directly on the device, including AI-assisted photo editing, live captions and intelligent search functions in Windows 11. The Qualcomm Adreno GPU handles graphics smoothly for everyday use, streaming and light creative tasks.

The 16-inch WUXGA OLED display with 1920 × 1200 pixels, 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, a response time of just 0.2 ms and a slim 89% screen-to-body ratio delivers brilliant, true-to-life images with deep blacks – ideal for films, photos and work alike. The TÜV Rheinland-certified display protects your eyes even during long use thanks to reduced blue light emissions.

With 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, the device is well equipped for smooth multitasking, fast application loading and plenty of space for large files. Please note that the RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded later – if you need more than 16 GB, you should take this into account before buying.

The 70 Wh battery is the real standout feature: in everyday use, a realistic 18 to 20 hours of battery life is achievable – an impressive figure for a 16-inch device, thanks to the energy-efficient Snapdragon chip. Fast charging brings the battery to 60% in around 50 minutes. This makes the Vivobook S16 the ideal companion for long school days, travel or working days without a power socket nearby.

Connectivity is comprehensive: two USB4 ports (40 Gbps) with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 – all usable directly without adapters. An FHD webcam with privacy shutter, an array microphone, a backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and a large Smart Gesture touchpad round off the package. The chassis is certified to the US military standard MIL-STD-810H, making it more resistant to shocks, vibration and temperature fluctuations than conventional laptops. Windows 11 Home comes preinstalled.
